  • April 17 deadline to complete a petition to graduate with a counselor and have your name in the commencement program.

Caps, gowns, and tassels: are required and available at the Cabrillo Bookstore for about $40.00.  Students may be able to borrow a gown from the Welcome Center in Aptos or the SRC in Watsonville starting on April 21, 2020.

Transfer Only Students: (Transferring without a degree or certificate) The dress attire is white top with black bottom (no cap/gown).

Graduation Check-in: will be held the afternoon of the ceremony at 2:30 pm. You must wear your cap and gown. Please do not bring purses, backpacks, etc. as there will be no time to leave before the procession and you may not leave anything in the gym. Graduates are recommended to wear comfortable shoes. Please note that heels are not allowed on the field, no excemptions.

Graduation ceremony: there is no limit to the number of guests you may invite; however seating and (free) parking are limited so encourage your guests to arrive no later than 2:30 p.m. The ceremony will last about 2 hours. Please tell your guests that balloons are not allowed at the ceremony and we encourage that guests and graduates bring their own water. Alcohol is not permitted on campus. Any student in possession or under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be escorted off campus by the Sheriff.

Announcements and cards: information will be available at the Grad Fairs scheduled in April at the Cabrillo Bookstore.

Degrees and Certificates: Degrees are posted to your transcript within 4-8 weeks. Associate Degrees for transfer (AA-T, AS-T) are posted by June 30th. Diplomas & Certificates are mailed in mid September.
