CalWORKs, the California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids program is dedicated to providing services to low income parents, currently receiving cash aid, seeking to become self-sufficient through education. This program offers personalized counseling, financial assistance and support. CalWORKs students may be eligible for CalWORKs Work Study funding.
WIOA, the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act program helps job seekers succeed in the labor market by providing access to employment, education, training, and support services. This program offers personalized counseling, financial assistance and support.
Rising Scholars, Students who have experienced the criminal justice system can face significant barriers to academic and career success. The California Community Colleges welcome all students, including those who are incarcerated and those who have experienced incarceration in the past. Colleges with programs for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated students proudly form the Rising Scholars Network.
Santa Cruz County Benefit Rep is in our office on Mondays 8:00 to noon. First come, first served. You can also sign up for a time slot here. Get assistance with: CalFresh; EBT Cards; CalFresh Restaurant Meals Program; CalWORKs Cash Aid, Child Care, Employment Services; Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants; General Assistance; Medi-Cal Medical Health Benefits; Immigration and DACA Resources; SARs 7's and Recertifications.
Cabrillo is a mask-friendly environment. All Cabrillo students and staff, regardless of their immunization status, are not required to wear a mask while indoors on campus except in certain situations, where the wearing of a mask will still be required.
