Wine Program

Wine can sometimes take up half of a meal you’re enjoying. Spend time with other students who love wine and learning in Cabrillo College’s wine program. No matter your career goals, the program brings a high level of knowledge to aspiring chefs, bakers, and managers of all kinds. It also educates aspiring customers looking to build up a wine cellar.

Cabrillo College offers two 15-unit certificates in Wine and Wine Service, and Wine Tasting Room Management, and a 17-unit certificate in World Wines for any students entering CAHM. Each class focuses on wine in unique ways, such as how to open it, provide wine service, as well as presentation, taste, and smell. Classes also focus on specific geographical regions of the world, and more.

Genevieve's Story

Genevieve Daly’s interest in pursuing wine education stemmed from a weekend class in Cabrillo College’s wine program. This interest turned into a passion for learning about other cultures and history through wine. Since then, she went on to work as a wine sales representative, winery manager, and is looking to pursue a Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) certification. Find out more about Genevieve’s story.
