Tutorials Staff Directory

The Tutorial program at Cabrillo College is externally funded and available at no cost to all students who are currently enrolled in the course for which they need help.

Students who fall into the following categories qualify to receive up to 2hrs/wk per class scheduled tutoring (including math):

  1. Receiving an E.O.P.S. grant or eligible for services.
  2. In any vocational major and have a need for tutoring in order to pass a required course for the major which must be verified by a Teacher Referral Form.
  3. Physically, learning, and/or psychologically disabled and listed with the DSPS program at Cabrillo College.
  4. In the Fast Track to Work program.

All other students may schedule 1 hr/wk per class, except for Math (see other options below).

Tutoring may be offered in groups.  There may be a 24-hour waiting period after completion of the application before one is scheduled with a tutor.

Hours:
Monday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.,
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.,
Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

AGS (Alpha Gamma Sigma) offers free tutoring. (Student Affairs Office, Room 914)
Hire our tutors privately.  All fees and hours arranged directly through the tutors.

Comm 1;
Digital Media 1, 4, 12, 70, 110;
English 100, 1A;
French;

Medical Assisting 130A, 170A & B;
Math 254, 154, 152;
Music 1 – 4, 6;
Philosophy 4, 9, 10, 14;
Political Science 1;
Psychology 1, 4;
Spanish 1, 2, 3;

All other students may schedule 1 hr/week per course.
There may be a 24 hour waiting period after completion of the application before one is scheduled with a tutor.
