Registration Holds
Registration holds prevent you from enrolling in classes.
Holds are restrictions that block your ability to register or waitlist in a course. If a hold is preventing registration, you’ll see an error message in red at the top right corner of your screen explaining what’s wrong.
Common reasons include:
Unpaid balances from previous semesters
Pay in full in Self Service or by phone through the Welcome Center
Contact Admissions & Records for more information about payment plans
Missing an application for Admissions
Complete an application via CCCApply
Residency verification issues
Submit your request for reclassification: Residency Form
Department holds (example: Counseling, Financial Aid, etc.)
Not meeting course prerequisite/corequisite requirements
Make an appointment with a Counselor
Complete the Requisite Challenge or Corequisite Override form
Online classes require a California address
Submit a Student Change of Information form to update your address
