This exhibition showcases artwork created by the multi-talented individuals who have work as instructors Art Studio, Art Photography and Art History programs at Cabrillo College. These artists devoted years of their lives to mentoring and inspiring countless students, while also maintaining their own art careers. This exhibition honors each artist’s legacy as an educator, spotlights their personal artistic practice and celebrates the freedom from previous constraints on creative time that is one of the great joys of retirement. An eclectic range of disciplines, materials and approaches is represented, from oil, acrylic, pastel, ink and gouache painting, drawing, etching and monotype printing, sculpture, ceramics, small metals/jewelry, alternative process photography, collage and mixed media.
