Activities cover file management, simple troubleshooting, running and installing programs, customizing the desktop, and using Windows accessory programs such as WordPad and Paint, efficient and accurate data entry, basic functions and formulas, mixed operations, percentages, sorting, formatting, and critical assessment of spreadsheets. Students will be able to apply for clerical jobs such as office clerk, word processing typist, data entry or office technician. May be offered in a distance-learning format.

The Industry Exam Preparation Certificate of Completion is a noncredit certificate designed to support the attainment of an industry standard certificate such as a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) or Intuit QuickBooks Certified User (QBCU). Students will complete real-world simulated projects using testing software in one selected core area such as: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, or Intuit QuickBooks. Students will analyze real-world business problems and then apply appropriate solutions using training and testing software. Once credentialed, students will document their industry certification in professional online platforms and/or in their resume. Upon completion, students will be employable as administrative support and as administrative support supervisors or managers. May be offered in distance-learning format.

A+ Certification Preparation Certificate of Completion is a noncredit certificate designed to prepare students to take the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) A+ Certification Exam for Hardware and Software. Hardware review includes hardware's effect on software, diagnosing and replacing defective hardware, network protocols, and functionality of laptops and mobile devices. Software review includes the effects of software on hardware performance, operating system functionality, and network communication. The CompTIA A+ Certification is an international, vendor-neutral certification recognized by major hardware and software vendors, distributors, and resellers. The certificate covers topics in the major areas of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), networking, and cybersecurity. Students enhance their knowledge and skills in cybersecurity principles from basic tools and online safety to reverse engineering programs and the ethical and legal issues related to cybersecurity. In addition, students gain knowledge of basic computer hardware and software, computer networks, and job responsibilities for ICT professionals.
This certificate provides hands-on real-life scenarios in the regional and national cybersecurity competitions. This certificate provides a foundation for students to continue on to pursue advanced certificates and degrees in Computer and Information Systems (CIS), ICT, and cybersecurity.
