Apprenticeship Programs: Course Requirements

Cabrillo College has four registered apprenticeship programs.

  • Community Health Worker Apprenticeship

  • IT Support Specialist (CIS) Apprenticeship

  • Cybersecurity (CIS) Apprenticeship

  • Education (TK–12) Apprenticeship

Please review the course requirements listed under each program section below.

Please note that Student Apprentices must:

  • Update their Education Plans each semester by meeting with their Academic Counselor

  • Take at least one required course each semester (excluding Summer.)

  • Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress

HS10 - Personal Health

HS130 - Introduction to Community Health Work (Fall semester only)

HS131 - Community Health Worker Skills (Spring Semester only & HS130 prerequisite)

HS99 - Health Science Internship/ Work Experience OR HSERV55A - Health Services Practicum 1

One Elective (complete 3 credits)

*Same Choice of Electives as the CHW Certificate of Achievement
