Continuum & Flux
Natalya Burd and Kirk Maxson

January 28 - March 1, 2019

Nature is a continuum that is always in flux. Species and ecosystems constantly adapt to survive change. Natalya Burd and Kirk Maxson use images of nature to comment on the shifting conditions of humans as we move continually through time and space. Burd paints on tinted plexiglass panels, her images amplified by mirrored backgrounds. Maxon cuts and forms thin metal sheeting into various plants types, often invasive species. Each artist creates otherworldly artworks that are both sublimely beautiful and quietly thought provoking.
