I have taught at Cabrillo since 2001. I graduated with distinction from San Jose State University with a major in Journalism and a minor in Nutrition. After training in Santa Cruz, San Francisco, and studying abroad. I cooked professionally in restaurants and hotels from Santa Cruz to Santa Barbara. I have owned two bakeries: The Queen of Tarts and Let Them Eat Cake. In 2014, I wrote and published my first cookbook: Easy Artisan Cooking, Simple Elegant Recipes for the Everyday Cook. In 2016 I was inducted into the Les Dames d' Escoffier international organization. I am also a member of The Bakers Dozen and the Fine Chocolate Industry Association.

I live in Santa Cruz with my husband Matt, and a Boston Terrier named Paulo.
