My Name is Britton Thompson. I have a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts from Fresno State and and an associates degree in Culinary Arts from Maui Culinary Academy. I worked in many different restaurants on Maui culminating at The Four Seasons Wailea. After some time I moved back home to Fresno and got my Insurance Brokers License and worked with my family at Thompson Insurance for what ended up being 15 years!!! During this time I inquired about helping around the Fresno City College Culinary Department and they told me they needed an instructor. I applied and got the job! This started my love of teaching and being in the classroom. I taught culinary classes as a second job off and on for 12 years. July 2023 my dad and I sold Thompson Insurance and I returned to working in the hospitality industry. I started as a line cook and quickly rose to Sous Chef and a brief role as Restaurant Chef. Upon achieving Restaurant Chef I started looking to get back into teaching and here I am. Cabrillo was my first choice and I am so happy to be here!
