

Elizabeth Shaw is a full-time Computer Information Systems faculty member who joined Cabrillo College in 2022. She has more than 15 years of experience in the technology industry. Prior to transitioning into education, she worked in IT Management at United Parcel Service, where she developed extensive experience in enterprise technology operations and leadership. Elizabeth teaches a range of cybersecurity and information technology courses and is deeply committed to expanding access to computer science, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and emerging technology education for students throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition to her teaching role, Elizabeth serves as a Project Director for the Bay Area Cyber League, where she designs and coordinates cybersecurity programs and courses for both college and high school students. She is also an AI ChangeMaker for the Bay Area Community College Consortium, supporting initiatives that promote responsible and equitable AI education across community colleges. A California native, Elizabeth lives in Santa Cruz and enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dogs, Oliver and Gracie.
