Hi, I’m Elizabeth, and I’m glad you’re here! I love teaching technology and helping students build skills, confidence, and pathways toward opportunities they may not have realized were available to them.

Before becoming an educator, I spent more than 15 years working in technology, including serving in IT management at United Parcel Service. I bring that real-world experience into the classroom, where I teach courses in cybersecurity, information technology, databases, and emerging technologies. I’m especially passionate about making computer science, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies accessible to students from all backgrounds.

In addition to teaching, I serve as a Project Director for the Bay Area Cyber League, where I help develop and coordinate cybersecurity programs and courses for college and high school students throughout the Bay Area. I’m also an AI ChangeMaker for the Bay Area Community College Consortium, supporting responsible, equitable, and student-centered uses of artificial intelligence. I’m part of Cabrillo’s California Apprenticeship Initiative team, where I work on the cybersecurity apprenticeship pathway. I’m a California native and live in Santa Cruz. When I’m not teaching or working on technology education projects, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and with my two dogs, Oliver and Gracie.
