Office hours: Mon, Wed, Fri from 1-1:30 pm, and Tu/Th from 8:30-8:45 in the pool office/team room

Jasper has been coaching and teaching young adults for over 20 years. As an athlete, Jasper earned all american and lead his team to CIF division championships his Junior and Senior years. He then went on to play at Cal, class of 03. His coaching career includes positions with the Olympic Development Team, Stanford and Lamorinda Water Polo Clubs.He received Pacific Zone coach of the year awards in 2008 and 2010 and coached multiple club teams to medal at the National Junior Olympic Tournament. He is also the former boys program director at Aptos High School and the founder of Santa Cruz Water Polo Club.

His teaching career in science and health included teaching Honors and AP Environmental Science, Anatomy and Physiology, Molecular Biology, Biology, Health and Wellness. He taught at Kirby School for over a decade and also held positions at Aptos High School, Scotts Valley High School, and Marin Academy.

Jasper also has extensive experience as a guide and outdoor educator. He is an emergency first responder and has led countless groups of young adults on backpacking, climbing, rafting, and snow outings. He was the former retreat coordinator and intersession coordinator at Kirby School and an Outings leader at Marin Academy.

Jasper enjoys spending time outside with his family in the ocean and forests throughout California, Oregon, and Mexico. He enjoys surfing, swimming, and diving, as well as climbing, backpacking, and skateboarding. He is a scientist, naturalist, environmentalist, gardener, and chef who usually only has time to be a Dad of his two elementary aged children.
