Julieanne has been teaching health science classes at Cabrillo College since 2017. She has been teaching public health courses at San Jose State University since 2010, and currently coordinates the internship placements for undergraduate public health students. Julieanne received her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from SJSU and previously worked for the County of Santa Clara Public Health Department as a Health Education Specialist and Community Health Outreach Worker. Prior to that, Julieanne served for 2 years in the Peace Corps in Ivory Coast, Africa as a Health Education Volunteer. Currently, Julieanne teaches the Community Health Worker (CHW) courses (HS 130 Introduction to Community Health Worker & HS 131 Community Health Workers Skills) and is responsible for training students to become certified as CHWs.

Julieanne is passionate about community health, global health, social justice, and equity in education. She enjoys collaborating with students to further develop their skills and helping students prepare for exciting career pathways into public health and related fields.
