My name is Karla Ramirez and I am the program specialist for a new program we are launching called the Ganas re-entry program. Ganas was created to help support students return to Cabrillo after taking some time off as a result of the pandemic. I am excited and hopeful to work with these students and help motivate them during their return.

I worked in a few departments while I attended Cabrillo which helped motivate me to be a better student. I graduated from Cabrillo with a degree in Communication Studies and Liberal Arts. I then transferred on to California State University, Monterey Bay where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and Communication. While at CSUMB I also worked on campus and I quickly learned that I truly love working with students and helping them with their educational journey.

Cabrillo gave me the sense of belonging I needed as a student in order to succeed and I hope to be able to provide that for our students.
