About Kelli:

I consider myself extremely fortunate to work, play and live in Santa Cruz County. My Story... I spent my youth growing up in Watsonville, attending local public schools, playing soccer, practicing the trombone and tending to our family collection of reptiles. I graduated Aptos High School in 1996 and began my first full-time college semester at Cabrillo. For the next six years I learned to balance my work life, my education as an Engineering student, my love for soccer and my family. I graduated with a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona, then worked for a national Environmental/Geotechnical firm in Southern California for one year before moving back home to Watsonville, where the environment was a little more green and a little less 'concrete'.

After commuting from Watsonville to Milpitas for over a year, I decided to go back to school. In 2006 I received a M.S. degree in Environmental Engineering and Science from Stanford and I vowed that my next job would be closer to home. After graduating I was hired as an Associate Engineer for a small local Civil/Environmental firm in Santa Cruz, where I enjoyed cycling to work everyday and increasing my professional engineering skills with young, like minded engineers.

In 2009, I began teaching as an Associate Engineering Instructor at Cabrillo College and starting a family of my own. Going on fourteen years at Cabrillo, I move forward each day energized by the students, faculty, and staff that I interact with and learn from.
