Get to Know Me!

I am excited to be a part of the college faculty, bringing with me an extensive background in the first responder industry and over 17 years of professional experience. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Forensic Psychology and am currently a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology. Throughout my career, I have worn many hats, including roles as a recruiter, community outreach coordinator, and training officer.

My passion lies in education and training, with a special focus on first responder mental health. I am dedicated to upholding professional standards and expectations to ensure optimal student outcomes.

Throughout my career, I have developed a deep appreciation for the transformative power of education. I believe that by equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary for success in the first responder field, we can make a meaningful impact on their lives and the communities they serve. I am committed to supporting students not only during their time in the course but also throughout their entire career journey.

In my role as a faculty member, I hold high expectations for my students. I strive to create a learning environment that mirrors the professional standards of the industry. This means fostering professionalism, accountability, and integrity in all aspects of the program. By setting these standards, I aim to prepare students for the challenges and responsibilities they will encounter in their future careers.

I believe that education goes beyond the classroom. It is a collaborative effort between instructors and students, where knowledge is shared, explored, and applied. I am dedicated to creating an engaging and interactive learning experience that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and real-world application of concepts.

As we embark on this educational journey together, I am eager to get to know each of my students and support them in their pursuit of excellence. I am here to guide, mentor, and inspire, and I am confident that with our collective efforts, we can foster a community of skilled and compassionate first responders who make a positive difference in the world.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I look forward to our shared experiences and the opportunity to contribute to your growth and success.
