I have been teaching at Cabrillo over 33 years now and I really love my job. I was a first-gen student and am here to help all students, but especially first-gen students who are learning how to navigate their higher education journey. I attended U.C. Davis as a biology major before I changed my major to English. I attended graduate school at San Francisco State University where I received a M.A. in Literature as well as certificates in Composition Theory and Reading Theory. My thesis was on the poet Eavan Boland and I have a special interest in Irish Literature. At Cabrillo, I currently teach English 1B, English C1001, English C1001H, and British Literature.

Before teaching at Cabrillo, I worked at Stanford University designing online courses for the Educational Program for Gifted Youth.

Office Hours: Tuesdays 11:00-12:50 in room 427C and Wednesdays 9-11:30 am online (email me to make appt.)
