Hi, my name is Luis. I was born in Mexico and moved to the United States at a young age. I attended schools in the Pajaro Valley Unified School District. After high school, I enlisted in the United States Navy. Following my service, I returned to the area and enrolled at Cabrillo College, later transferring to San Jose State University, where I earned a B.S. in Materials Engineering. I worked in Silicon Valley manufacturing computer chips before transitioning to a career in education. I have experience as a substitute teacher and have taught mathematics at Watsonville High School and Mission Hill Middle School.
