Hi,

I'm Masina Hunnicutt, the new Program Coordinator for Cabrillo's TRIO/STEM program. I've spent over 15 years in student services, including several years in Admissions & Records here at Cabrillo, so it's a joy to be back. I'm passionate about opening doors for first-generation, low-income, and/or disabled students, and I'm looking forward to building a TRIO/STEM community where students feel supported from their first semester through transfer. I immigrated from Samoa in 2002, and lived in northern California for a few months before moving to Aptos in December of that year. I currently live in Royal Oaks with my husband, my elderly parents, our senior dog, Panda, and our teenage cat, JubJub, while our daughter is away at college in Washington, D.C. I am bilingual and biliterate in English and Samoan. I love connecting with students and colleagues, so please reach out at mahunnic@cabrillo.edu.
