Mo Moscovitz
Instructor, ASL Dept. Chair
American Sign Language
(831) 479-6478
Aptos Campus, Online

Hi! My name is Mo Moscovitz. Students are welcome to call me "Mo," and refer to me as he or him.

Since my parents were Deaf, I'm what is referred to as a "native signer." I am the youngest of 4 children. We were all "hearing," and used both English and ASL at home. My experience growing up was not that different from anyone who comes from a bilingual, bicultural household.

Aside from my work as a teacher, I am a certified master level ASL/English interpreter. (Retired)

I have lived in Santa Cruz since 1980.

I love sports cars, hot rods and custom cars, motorcycles, and certain forms of motorsport.

I love teaching and sharing the language and culture of my parents. I consider it a privilege to do this kind of work.
