About me

I grew up in England and have a degree in horticulture from the University of London. I've lived in Santa Cruz since 1998, and have a wide range of experience in retail and wholesale nurseries in the Monterey Bay and had my own nursery in Soquel for 10 years.

I've been an associate instructor at Cabrillo since 2016 and teach Plant Propagation, Fall and Spring Plant Materials and California Native Plants and Plant Communities.

I love dogs (especially golden retrievers!), cooking , hiking and gardening, and of course I love plants! I'm particularly passionate about sustainability in horticulture and the creation of wildlife-friendly landscapes.
