Sam has been a ceramic artist for over 30 years, his work has been exhibited and collected around the world. he pioneered the use of liquid biofuels for firing ceramics in the 1990s, and more recently created a body of work using locally sourced Santa Cruz Mountain clay fired in a wood burning kiln. He is fascinated by the interaction of ceramic objects and societies past present and future.
