Steven Macramalla earned his BA at the University of British Columbia, and Master’s and PhD at UCSC, where he conducted research on motor imagery, that is how we imagine and plan our own physical movement. He then worked at NASA doing research on cognitive readiness testing, to evaluate astronauts before they embarked on high-risk mission assignments, such as a space-walk. He worked briefly at Oracle, and has been teaching Psychology, Perception, Statistics and Cognition since 2008. Professor Macramalla has a passion for the field of Psychology as a whole, from the rigorous methods applied in Perception and Cognition research to the broad and holistic views of Jungian and Humanistic Psychology.
