Bandit Systems, CIS Apprentice
During my apprenticeship this semester, I’m most proud of how quickly I was able to apply what I learned in the classroom to real-world IT tasks. I successfully contributed to troubleshooting and system setups, which helped improve my problem-solving skills. Additionally, I took on more responsibility as I grew more confident in my role, including mentoring newer apprentices and helping document processes for future team members. I’m also proud of how I was able to collaborate with my team to solve technical issues, which enhanced my teamwork and communication abilities.
This experience reinforced my appreciation for environments that encourage problem-solving and continual learning. I realized how much I value being part of a team that communicates well and supports each other in high-pressure situations.
My apprenticeship at Bandit Systems helped me grow in tech and I want to show others like me that they can do it too. I will always share what I learned, help other interns, and prove that with support and opportunity, anyone can succeed in this field. This would help open more doors for people in the future.
My internship at Bandit Systems was a great opportunity that helped me explore my interest in IT and gain real-world experience. It showed me what it’s like to work in the tech field, helped me build my skills, and gave me the confidence to keep pursuing a career in this industry. I’m grateful for the support and hands-on learning—it made a big difference in shaping my career path.

This internship helped with become more open to discovering new paths and new ways to help and support the community. I have been working for this agency for 3 years. My role is to do community presentations about mental health. I try to learn something new every time I present to help me understand more about what things are that I need to work on more. Coping strageies I'm taking a stress management class to understand more of where I need more support.

My internship can be an example for others because I learned that no matter if you think you don't have experience you can adapt the skills, and knowledge acquired to pursue a new career goal. This opportunity can be a proof for future generations that regardless of your age, your language or previous professional experiences you can still achieve your goals and dreams as long as you have the braveness and willingness to do it.
This work experience has assured that my new career path I decided to take has played a significant role in both my values and future goals. Working in this professional environment allowed me to see the importance of collaboration, adaptability and purpose driven work. I realized how important is to work in a place that values continuous learning and community impact.
This great experience also clarified my career goals confirming I want to continue growing in this field contributing with a meaningful impact in the community that I live and serve along with acquiring experience and skills to improve my knowledge.
I also value working with a team that shares similar values, knowing that with all their support I would gain all experience needed to continue my growth in this agency that gave me the opportunity to open to a new career path.
