Ganas is a program at Cabrillo College Watsonville Center that welcomes back re-entry students who have paused their college journey but are ready to restart!
We are a program that encourages previous students to return to Cabrillo and resume their studies in Spring 2023. It targets Watsonville Center students who have left their higher education journey. Everyone is welcome!
Benefits of joining Ganas:
Financial Aid counseling and access to Covid Grants and Basic Needs financial assistance
Designated Academic counselors + Personalized Education Plans
Reconnect with their personal motivation - ¡Échale ganas!
Tutoring services + Group study sessions
Workshops on transferring to 4 year colleges and how to finance it
Criteria to Join:
Prior college student who had to take a pause in their education and now would like to restart the college journey
Criteria for students in the program:
Create educational plan with Ganas academic counselor
Apply for FAFSA Financial Aid or Dream Act or AB540
Meet with Ganas reentry mentor 1 time per semester
Meet with Ganas academic counselor 1 time a semester
Attend at least 1 Ganas related event a semester
