Some Work Order Basics
Contact your Division/Department Administrative Assistant for review and approval prior to submitting any requests that involve upgrades to rooms, events, key requests or moving/removing furniture.
The Title field in the work order is not your name or job title, it is a summary of work requested (ie: Bldg 2000 - repair loose sink)
The limit of the Title is 50 characters with no special characters. You will receive an Error 400 message if your title is too long and will be unable to submit your work order request.
Once a work order is submitted it cannot be updated or changed by the originator. Please email jajensen@cabrillo.edu for questions, status updates or changes to an existing work order.
MAINTENANCE WORK ORDERS REQUIRE THE FOLLOWING:
*Building and room number – In Work Order Title
*Detailed description of the repair needed
If ordering keys, key cards, or alarm codes include:
*the name and job title of the person receiving them
*what buildings and rooms they will need access to
Work orders are responded to based on urgency and, then, in the order received.
With our current staffing level, we estimate a one-week response time. We will contact you directly, if we have further questions regarding your request.
EVENT WORK ORDERS REQUIRE THE FOLLOWING:
Date, time and location for event - In Work Order Title
Type and quantity of items needed (table/chairs, canopies, etc.)
A diagram showing the set up
A second work order for break down clean up; include time the event is over.
