Each class in our inspired program focuses on wine in unique ways—from sensory evaluation of wine to the basics of wine service, winemaking, viticulture, and specific geographical regions of the world. The world of wine is waiting for you at Cabrillo College. Classes are taught by leading wine industry professionals, who bring all aspects of their profession into the classroom, to explore a world of wine that is vast and ever changing.

Cabrillo College now accepts Wine and Spirits Education Trust trade certifications towards academic credit in our Wine Studies program.
Do you have a WSET Level 1, 2, 3 or 4 (Diploma) Award in Wines? If so, you can earn credit towards our associate degree in Wine Studies or our two certificate programs.
The Credit for Prior Learning equivalency for WSET certifications is allocated according to the level of certification:
Level 1 Award in Wines qualifies for 3 academic units
Level 2 Award in Wines qualifies for 5 academic units
Levels 3 and 4 Award in Wines qualifies for 26 units. This is equivalent to the 11 major courses of the 60 total units required for the associate degree and for the 16 units required for the certificate of achievement in Wine Studies.
