Business Administration
Program Overview
Take your accounting knowledge to the next level. Whether you are looking to sharpen your spreadsheet skills or grow a financial career, Cabrillo has accounting classes that will prepare you for success!
The Accounting and Finance Program is designed to provide students with knowledge and skills required for entry-level positions in industry, government, and financial institutions. The knowledge and skills are important for small businesses and new entrepreneurs as well. Our goal is to allow students to transfer and successfully complete a university program and/or to succeed on a career track that will lead to a family-supporting income.
The program includes classroom instruction by experienced faculty and extensive hands-on application with both manual and computerized accounting systems. You can take classes to enrich your job, earn short-term certificates to get to employment faster, and/or earn an associate degree that transfers to a senior college or university program.
This is a suggested sequence of coursework and is one pathway for students to earn their degree/certificate. This is not an official educational plan. A counselor is able to assist you with creating a personalized education plan based on your academic, career, and personal goals.
