I am the CalWORKS Job Developer. I come to this role with 18 years of experience in outdoor experiential education, teaching and training kids, teens, and adults of all ages. I have mentored hundreds of UCSC students and helped them find jobs in their chosen fields. I have a passion for building up a team and working collaboratively with students and community members to empower students to achieve their goals.

Some of the things I am most proud of:

  • Created a young professionals workshop and cohort at the 1st bi-annual Growing School Gardens Summit.

  • Developed an educational garden site in Watsonville, which ran for 10 years, where hundreds of kids and college students learned life sciences and connected with nature.

  • Advanced and started multiple interdisciplinary and outdoor programs for kids, teens and adults and developing strategies for engaging a diverse student population.

  • Every one of my college interns and temporary staff. Helping them prepare for their next level jobs and watching them grow into their capabilities.

Education: I have a B.A from UCSC in Environmental studies and a minor in Anthropology
