  • DM12 Photoshop Techniques: DM12 is an advanced course that builds on the intermediate-level pixel and vector work taught in DM4 and DM1.

    You will learn a solid and broad range of professional techniques and tools to achieve unique, creative, and clean results. Skills include: layers, channels, and paths, pixel painting with brush tools, multiple-image composites, color changes & adjustments, selecting tools, masks & non-destructive editing, layers & channels, blending modes, filters, design & typography. You will create portfolio-level work for all aspects of creative design.

Spring 2024

Classes
  • DM11 Digital Illustration: Illustration (intermediate to advanced level) for advertising, packaging, websites, publications, and many other uses. Prerequisite: DM4: Digital Graphics or equivalent experience — contact the VAPA Division office or your academic counselor for details.

  • The "VAPA 79 Class" Creative Careers: create your unique self-directed, non-traditional, and entrepreneurial pathway to make a living in any of the the Visual, Applied, and Performing Arts (Art History, Art, Art Photography, Dance, Digital Media, Music & Music Technology, Theatre Arts). Register in your VAPA major.
