I have been an Instructor at Cabrillo College since 2004. My current teaching assignments are in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Microbiology, and General Biology. I am also Program Director of the Biotechnology Program, housed in the Biology Department. I am currently a faculty core member of UCSC's ACCESS Program. My former research areas are in molecular and cellular biology at Cal (B.A.), Mizzou (Ph.D.) and USC (Post-Doctoral). For fun I enjoy playing chess and can be found frequently on Chess.com. I used to play and direct tournaments and have advised a chess club on campus. I also play the saxophone and percussion. I perform with a number of local bands. I have also taken a number of amazing music classes at Cabrillo College that have greatly improved my skills.
