Work Experience Education
Work Experience Education (WORK) is an education department providing credit and noncredit classes to help students prepare for the workforce across all disciplines.
Students can earn credit through jobs, internships, apprenticeships or volunteer positions that are transferable to a CSU (California State University). The WORK department collaborates with the Employment and Internship Office (EIO) to help student's identify employer sites and host students interested in taking these classes. This department also offers Noncredit career preparation classes to help students in the job and internship search process.
Offered at all Community Colleges in California this program is a way for students to gain experience, build confidence and expand their professional network in order to enter the workforce ready to achieve their goals!
In these courses professional networking, communication, goal setting and many more workplace skills are emphasized and practiced. No matter where you are on your career journey, these classes are designed to support your effort to find clarity and experience in professional skills you will need.
