Transfer Program

The Accounting and Finance Program provides courses required for a student to transfer to most colleges and universities in California and across the United States. The Accounting and Finance program, with its transferable courses combined with general education courses, allows students to transition to senior colleges and universities as Accounting and Finance majors, as well as Business or Economic majors with an Accounting and Finance concentration.

Associate of Science Degree

The Associate in Science in Accounting prepares students to set up accounting systems that allow businesses or individuals to organize, maintain, and audit financial records. Accounting systems capture all aspects of the financial transactions of business entities such as corporations, individual owners (sole proprietors), and government. Accountants may be involved in business related duties such as preparing tax returns, budgets, financial statements, advising businesses on accounting systems, or auditing financial records.

Vocational-Career Program

The vocational-career certificates provide students with the skills and knowledge required for entry-level positions in the accounting departments of service, retail, and manufacturing industries along with government entities, financial institutions, and small business establishments. In addition to opportunities for employment, the program prepares students for entrepreneurial/self-employment pathways.
