CIP

The Council for Instructional Planning (CIP) is a subcommittee of the Institutional Effectiveness Committee and is co-chaired by the Instructional Program Plan Coordinator and the SLO Coordinator. It serves to promote and enhance the instructional program of the college by developing and recommending annually to the college educational master plan. The committee assists college departments in planning efforts by:

  • providing a framework for analysis of the college's internal and external environment

  • providing structures and feedback throughout the planning process to foster a culture of innovation

  • analyzing two-year program plan content and assessment plans

  • recommending college-wide instructional priorities to the Institutional Effectiveness Committee (IEC) and appropriate committees

  • evaluating the instructional program planning and review process, including input from participants and suggesting updates and improvements of the process to IEC.
