The Cabrillo College Radiologic Technology Program offers additional programs and certificates in fluoroscopy, venipuncture, mammography, MRI, and computed tomography to current students and community members who meet specific requirements. Please read specific program/certificate requirements and registration information for each elective course.

This certificate covers basic instruction and practice of venipuncture, including methods and procedures for the administration of contrast agents, routes of administration, safety, basic pharmacology, dosage calculations, and emergency procedures.

Upon successful completion of these courses, students are qualified for application to the California Department of Public Health - Radiation Health Branch, Mammography Certification examination.

Get Your CT Certificate To Boost Your Career

This is a one-year post-primary Computed Tomography Certificate of Achievement designed for the working radiologic technologist. It provides a path to eligibility for the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) advanced modality examination in computed tomography (CT). Students must hold current ARRT certification in diagnostic radiography (R) to enroll in the program. The program is only offered when funding is available.

Courses include RT 189A, 189B, 190A, 190B, and 190C (if needed).
