Radiologic Technology Mission Statement

The Cabrillo College Radiologic Technology Program will produce entry-level radiographers to improve and support the diagnostic imaging community through compassionate patient care.

Students will communicate effectively.

  • Students will articulate appropriate instructions during patient interactions.

  • Students will employ respectful communication with healthcare colleagues.

Students will be clinically competent.

  • Students will exercise appropriate radiation safety practices.

  • Students will demonstrate optimal patient positioning to produce quality diagnostic images.

Students will employ problem solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Students will adapt procedures according to patient ability, condition, or age.

  • Students will critique images and apply appropriate corrections if needed.
