Welcome to Career Technical Education
Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs offer both academic and career-oriented courses. These programs help prepare our students for a wide range of high-wage, high-skill, in-demand careers. Many also provide students with the chance to gain hands-on experience through work-based learning opportunities, or prepare them to transfer to four-year institutions.
Cabrillo College offers cutting-edge CTE programs within 13 of the 15 industry sectors defined by the California Department of Education. You can explore a each of the sectors and the programs Cabrillo offers below.

Career Pathways
You can also explore Career Pathways using Cabrillo’s Career Coach, a user-friendly and interactive tool that allows current and prospective students to browse Cabrillo programs and majors by Career and Academic Pathway (CAP), explore careers related to their majors, find jobs, create resumes, explore salaries and take career assessments to guide them toward more thoughtful career exploration.
