What is dual enrollment?
Dual enrollment enables students (K-12th grade) or adult students in a GED/Adult School high school completion program to take college courses. These courses can be available in person at both Cabrillo campuses, at a high school, and online.

Dual Enrollment Steps

The CCCApply Application to Cabrillo College can be found on the Cabrillo Admissions and Records Website.
If you have applied to Cabrillo prior to the summer 2025 semester you must apply again. The application for spring, summer, and fall 2026 opens October 1st 2025.
The first time you apply to Cabrillo you will receive a Welcome email with your Cabrillo student ID number from webreg@cabrillo.edu within 72 hours of applying. If you do not receive that email, you must contact the Admissions and Records department. If you have applied before you will continue to have the same Cabrillo student ID number Students must wait until the Admissions and Records Department has processed their application before moving on to the next steps of the Dual Enrollment process.
Students ages 14+ apply online using the California Community Colleges (CCCApply) application system.
Students age 13 and under need to obtain a paper admissions application from Cabrillo's Adimissions and Records Department.

A K-12 Consent form or Adult Student consent form is required for all Dual Enrollment students. Consent forms are submitted online using the Cabrillo Etrive Central form called the Dual Enrollment eForm. We are unable to accept forms via email, in person, or by fax. The processing time for eForms can be up to 7 business days.
Students will recive an email notifying them if their eForm was approved or if it has been declined. After the eForm has been approved they will be cleared to register for classes. Once a students eForm is approved it will stay valid until they graduate high school or complete a GED program.
Students admissions application must be on file with Admissions and Records before submitting a consent form. If students do not have a current application their form will be declined.

Dual Enrollment students will first need to plan their classes and then register once their registration date has arrived. Class planning and registration is done using Cabrillo Student Planning.
Check Your Registration Date: Your specific date and time to register are assigned by Admissions and Records and is based on a priority system. Check your registration date here .
Plan Your Classes: Before your registration date, use the online class schedule to find classes. Planning classes is not the same as registering.
Register: On your assigned registration day, log in to your MyCabrillo student portal. If you have planned your classes you will see an option to register.

Dual Enrollment information
Dual enrollment students have a variety of classes to choose from at Cabrillo! To start exploring course students should look through the Schedule of Classes and Cabrillo Course Catalog .
High school students
Start by talking to your high school counselor about what courses you should/can take while in high school.
High school students can view our list of suggested courses to see suggestions.
Meet with a Cabrillo Academic Counselor to discuss how courses meet your major or transfer requirements.
High school credits for college courses
If students want to recive high school credits for taking college courses they must talk to their high school counselor. Cabrillo does not determin high school credit eligibility. High schools have their own rules and requirements for if/when/how students can recive credits for taking college courses. Consult your high school counselor or administrator for more information.
K-12 students
Meet with a Cabrillo Academic Counselor to discuss what courses would be apropriate for your students. Students must have a Cabrillo student ID before they can meet with a Cabrillo counselor.
Discuss course options with your K-8th school principal or academic counselor.
Adult students in a GED/HISET/HSD program
Meet with a Cabrillo Academic Counselor to discuss how courses meet your major or transfer requirements.
