- Before registration opens, log in to My Cabrillo and use Self Service Student Planning to plan your courses and select your sections to build your schedule.

Late start and short term classes:
- Dates and Deadlines for all short-term classes vary depending on the start date of the class. For example, enrollment fees will be reversed only if you have officially withdrawn by refund date.

- October 1, 2025Spring 2026 Application OpenApplication for Spring 2026 admissions open. Apply to Cabrillo anytime on or after this date via CCCApply; allow 3 business days for processing to create your account. 
- October 1, 20252025-2026 Financial Aid Applications Open2025-26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the CA Dream Act Application (CADAA) open. The priority deadline for submitting your financial aid application is March 3, 2026. Some types of funding are limited, so we recommend submitting your application as early as possible. Please contact the Financial Aid & Scholarships office for more information. 
- October 1 - 17, 2025Earn an Earlier Registration DateAll students have the opportunity to earn an earlier registration date for Spring 2026, by completing the following activities: New students: - Submit the Orientation etrieve form 
- Plan some courses for the upcoming term 
 Continuing Students: - @ 15 units declare a major 
- maintain good academic standing 
 Pro Tip: your registration will not be blocked if these activities are not completed; you will be assigned a later registration date. 
- October 17, 2025DUE DATE: complete activities to earn an earlier registration date.Complete placement, submit the orientation etrieve form, and plan some classes to earn an earlier registration date. Miss this date? Not a problem! You will not be blocked from registering. Keep going - your registration opens in early December. Pro Tip: If you applied to Cabrillo after October 17, 2025 you will be able to register during Open registration on December 3, 2025 and you will not be assigned a priority registration date. 
- October 24, 2025Registration Dates PostedCheck My Registration Date to see your calculated registration date and ranking. If you think your registration date is wrong, let us know. Submit this etrieve form to appeal.

December 2025
- December 2, 2025Registration Opens for Continuing Students, Continuing Students with 100+ units, and Dual Enrolled High School Students- Current students who have not completed placement, submitted the orientation etrieve Form, and planned some courses by October 17, 2025. 
- Current Students with more than 100 degree applicable units, except those students enrolled in designated high unit majors listed in the Cabrillo College catalog. 
- Current dual enrolled high school students who have completed placement, submitted the orientation etrive form, and planned some courses by October 17, 2025. - ProTip: Registration is prioritized by the highest number of completed units (only units completed at Cabrillo are used to calculate registration status). If capacity is reached, students may be assigned the following business day. 
 
- December 3, 2025 - January 25, 2026Registration Remains OpenStudents who completed an application within the last year, but did not complete the priority registration tasks by October 17, 2025 can register for Spring classes in My Cabrillo and use Self Service Student Planning. 
- December 24, 2025- January 1, 2026Campus Closed for Winter BreakOnline Services Open 24/7 - Registration, Student Planning, or make a payment in My Cabrillo

Open Registration
Students who applied for Spring 2026 after October 17, 2025 will not be assigned a registration date, and can begin registering for open courses on December 3, 2025 at 8:00 AM in Self Service.
January 2026

- January 26, 2026Spring Semester beginsFirst day of classes. Connect with your instructor to learn more about class meeting details. 
- January 26, 2026 - February 7, 2026Add|Drop period for full-term sectionsStudents with an add authorization can continue registering for full-term courses. Need to add a course? Here's what you need to do: - To request an add authorization, attend the first class meeting or email the instructor. 
- Once you've been granted an add authorization, register through Student Planning. 
 Need to drop a course? - Go to Student Planning, and select the drop option for the section. 
 Dates and Deadlines for all short-term classes (less than 16 weeks in spring and fall): course fees will be reversed only if you have officially withdrawn by 10% of the class meetings. This deadline is often the day the class first meets. DEADLINE to request Pass|No-pass for short-term classes is the last day of instruction. 
February 2026
- February 7, 2026Add|Drop Period endsLast day to Add or Drop full-term classes in My Cabrillo via Self Service Student Planning. - Last day to add a class with an add authorization. You must use add authorizations by this day or you will no longer be able to register for the class via Self Service Student Planning. Speak with Instructor if you were unable to use you add authorization in Self Service Student Planning by this date. 
- Last day to drop a section and receive a reversal of charges or refund of enrollment or transportation fees. (No exceptions!) 
 Dates and Deadlines for all short-term classes (less than 16 weeks in spring and fall): course fees will be reversed only if you have officially withdrawn by 10% of the class meetings. - February 8, 2026Withdrawal DeadlineLast day to drop a full-term class in My Cabrillo via Self Service Student Planning without a "W" (W-Withdrawal) being notated on your academic record. Students are responsible for all charges. 
- February 9, 2026DEADLINE: return parking permit for a refundLast day to return parking permits to receive a refund. For a refund return your physical parking permit to the Welcome Center in Aptos or the Watsonville Center by the end of business day. 
- February 9, 2026Census Deadline- Faculty: Are you new to this process and need help? Connect with your Division Office. 
- Students: Verify class registration, and ensure you appear on class rosters. If you are a Financial Aid recipient, awards will not be adjusted after this date. 
 Important information - Financial Aid recipients who have dropped all classes on or before this date may be required to repay disbursed finds. Reach out to Financial Aid for more information. 
- Student or Instructor Drop from a class on Census results in “W” (W-Withdrawal) grade. Students are responsible for all charges.

- March 2, 2026GPAs submitted to California Student Aid Commission for Cal GrantCabrillo College will automatically transmit GPAs for students who have completed at least 16 transferable units at Cabrillo College to the California Student Aid Commission for Cal Grant. 
- March 23 - March 28, 2026Spring BreakNo classes, campus open, services open with modified hours. 
- March 31, 2026Holiday | Cabrillo College ClosedCesar Chavez Day (observed) 
- April 1, 2026Summer 2025 - Spring 2026 Schedule of ClassesClass Schedules posted create your schedule and be ready to register on your registration date. 
- April 9, 2026DEADLINE: for spring graduates and transfer students to petition to graduatePetition to graduate by this date in order to have your Degree|Certificate conferred for spring graduation. Includes: Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Science (AS) and Associate Degree for Transfer (AA-T or AS-T) and Certificates. Cabrillo will use all the information listed in your record to: - populate your name on your diploma 
- send you an email notification of any certificates that will be auto-awarded 
- send you an invitation and RSVP information to participate in the Commencement Ceremony via email. 
- mail your diploma to the address on file 
 Need to update your information? Complete a Student Change of Information etrieve form. Watch this space for RSVP and additional Commencement Ceremony information. Good News! Students who graduated in Summer 25, and Fall 25, or submitted a Spring/Summer 26 petition by the April 9th deadline are invited to participate in the graduation/transfer ceremony. 
- April 24, 2026Last day to drop a full-term sectionLast day to drop a full-term section in person or My Cabrillo via Self Service Student Planning to receive a "W" (W-Withdrawal) grade on your transcript. If you remain enrolled in a section after this date you will receive a letter grade. 
May 2026
- May 15, 2026Deadline to RSVP for Commencement CeremonyWatch this space for all the details and information. 
- May 18 - 23, 2026Final ExamsThe final for each class may be at a different time than your class meets. See the Final Examination Schedule for the date and time for each of your finals. 
- May 22, 2026Graduation Commencement CeremonyWatch this space for all the details and information. 
- May 22, 2026Last day to apply for the California College Promise GrantStill need to pay your fee? Last day to submit a California College Promise Grant (formerly BOG) application for Spring semester. 
- May 23, 2026Semester Ends|DEADLINE to request Pass|No-pass|CCPG funding still available- Last day for students to request the Pass|No Pass option, by submitting an etrieve Pass|No Pass Request form as established and published for the course section as outlined in Title 5. See your Instructor for more information. 
- Still need to pay your fees? Last day to submit a California College Promise Grant application for Spring semester.

June 2026
- June 12, 2026Graduating Students External Transcript DeadlineDeadline for students who have petitioned for a Degree/Certificate and are requesting for external coursework to be applied. Examples include AP/IB/CLEP scores, external institutions (high school, military, or other college/university institutions). Official transcripts not received by this deadline will be moved a semester or declined for graduation.
